The European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) is one of the main financial instruments of the European cohesion policy. Its goal is to contribute to reducing the differences in development levels between European regions and improving the standard of living in less favoured regions. Special attention is given to regions that suffer from severe and permanent natural or demographic disadvantages, such as the most northern regions, which have a low population density, and island, cross-border, and mountainous regions.

In the field of the Canary Health Service, the following Operational Programs are developed within the framework of this European Fund:
